Tandy PC-6 (circa 1986)

It’s baaaaack!

A quick trip to Radio Shack for batteries, and my beloved, venerable Tandy PC-6 from back in junior high school(!) is back among the living. (I actually must have remembered to remove the old batteries before they started to corrode — wow!)

Here it is, folks — BASIC-language paleotechnology, 1986-style!

Don't forget this model also had an Assembly language that you could program too. I never found a whole lot of use for the Assembly mode but it did calculate some things faster than using Basic.

This little calculator got me through junior high too! I loved that little calculator. I remember playing a mean game of Wumpus on it. I even wrote an endurance race car game. I’ll have to see if it is on ebay.

    Thanks for the memories.
